Segurança Social (Social Security) has launched a WhatsApp customer service channel that lets users book appointments and request official statements from their mobile phones.
The agency says the automated service aims to make everyday requests easier and reduce unnecessary travel and waiting times.
What Users Can Do
The new channel offers two services: booking an appointment and requesting official documents and statements.
Users can choose the day and time of an appointment in a few steps. They can also request and receive official documents and statements directly on their mobile phone screen. Social Security says documents provided through the channel have official validity.
How to Access the Channel
On the Social Security Portal, users can find the support shortcut under Help > Contacts and Support Channels > WhatsApp Channel.
In the Social Security App, the route is Menu > Contact Us > WhatsApp Channel.
Social Security describes the launch as part of its effort to expand digital contact options and make its services more accessible.
